HOSS the Horse needs a home
Hoss is a gentle well-trained gelding. He came to Longmeadow as an owner surrender in April 2017. He was lame when he arrived and our veterinarian''s evaluated him. He had his hocks injected after significant arthritis was noticed. The injection helped but he started showing signs in other legs and joints. His radiographs and general appearance suggest that he was ridden hard in his younger years. With the guidance of our veterinarians, we decided to make Hoss available as a Pasture Pet only. He will not be comfortable carrying an adult rider. Our vets say he should be comfortable for carrying small children on a leadline but only at a walk. If you are looking for the PERFECT companion horse for your own horse plus you can set the grandkids up on him for a short pony ride, then Hoss is your guy!
